fangirlism:THE JASON CASTRO CHRONICLES

March 20, 2010 was the most awaited date.

An officemate and fellow Jason Castro fangirl told me that he'll be coming to Cebu for a concert, so I was uberly excited and determined to get a ticket, which in the end, I decided not to get since I will be with 3 of my friends. Ever since he joined American Idol, I have been doting on him. He did not have the best voice/vocals then, but he was undeniably and by far, the hottest looking contestant to join AI that season, plus, he had dreadlocks, just how cool is that? Well, sue me, I think sporting dreadlocks and still looking handsome makes me swoon over.

So going back to March 20, my friends and I had a really late lunch over at Spice Fusion-SM which was right across the concert venue. We then strolled around the mall and waited for time to pass. The girls and I started to grow interested in a certain Sauna suit which looked like a huge trash bag. We saw one at some sport shop, and thought maybe there was a cheaper version over at Ayala Center.

After battling other cars for a parking space, we finally found one and went straight inside the mall. My friend, C*****, suggested we go to Chris Sports and look for the sauna suit. We were thinking the sports shop moved to the active zone area. I was amazed at the people swarming over at Speedo. I did not know why, but S*****, another friend, suggested perhaps Jason was there. And, she was 100% right! He was in fact looking at some products and garments.

He was no different than what I saw on TV. Jason Castro was as HOT as the summer sun. His cheeks had that pink blush and his eyes were that of an angel. As expected, he was not that tall, but he was shy as fangirls and fangays started to call him out, perhaps we scared the hell out of him. I took out my cam and took a snapshot of him. My gawd!!! I know a lot of dreadlock haters will not agree, but he was PICTURE PERFECT.

J**, the one who treated us to lunch, said maybe he'll go in to the next shop, which was Nike, but I said, maybe he was done going through the stuffs at Nike. I was so disappointed as I watched him and his posse enter the Nike shop. Oh well, I guess I should just be satisfied with the snapshot or stalker shot as what my friends call it.

The mini-concert.

I had expected a battalion of fangirls, but what I did not expect were the fanboys. WTF?! There were boys around the ages of 13 to 20, and they were actually cheering for my Jason. (my Jason?? LOL)

I was frustrated that I only knew 3 or 4 of the songs he sang. He did not even sing If I Fell, but oh well, I was happy. And that kept me smiling for at least a few days.
